The following is a list of continuing education opportunities for health professionals dealing with cancer and genetics, including several online courses. Please note that not all of them are applicable toward Continuing Medical Education or Continuing Education Unit.

Clinical Cancer Genetics Seminar

Wednesdays 4:00 - 5:00pm

Target Audience: Physicians, Residents, Fellows, Genetic Counselors, Nurses

Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to describe basic principles of clinical cancer genetics and genetic testing, recognize families at risk for familial cancer and refer them for appropriate counseling, and educate patients about recent developments in cancer genetics. Participants will discuss case studies and listen to presentations of current journal articles in cancer genetics. This seminar has been approved for CME credit.

In partnership with Oncology Nursing Society, CancerSourceRN provides nurses with Internet CME opportunities on various cancer-related issues.

City of Hope Cancer Genetics Education
Sponsored by the Department of Clinical Cancer Genetics, City of Hope's "Knowledge Center" (free to register) offers several self-teaching modules on topics like hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
