Upcoming CME
For Health Professionals
A new date has been set for MACGN’s annual Clinical Cancer Genetics conference for health professionals. Please note that this is a change from the date advertised in the last issue of the newsletter. The conference is now scheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2001, from 10AM to 4PM at the Wyndham Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits available for physicians, nurses, and genetic counselors.
A grand rounds, case study approach will be used to discuss the genetics and clinical management of hereditary cancers. Physician and lawyer, Dr. Mary Kay Pelias will provide an update on medical-legal issues in cancer genetics. Over 100 practicing clinicians attended this highly rated event last year. Post-test knowledge scores rose 12% from the pre-test scores.
