- 18 years or older
- multiple relatives with colon cancer or at least 1 relative diagnosed by age 50

Genetic Counseling Methods
- Ashkenazi Jewish background
- 18 years or older
- former colon cancer patient

Hereditary Prostate Cancer
- 3 or more first-degree relatives with prostate cancer OR
- 3 successive generations with prostate cancer OR
- 2 first-degree relatives with prostate cancer at age 55 years or less

- postmenopausal women age 35 or older
