From the Editor

It has been a fascinating year for the field of cancer and genetics! On June 26th, the completion of the first working draft of the human genetic blueprint was announced. It is our hope that such knowledge will also open the door to better cancer detection and treatment.

My name is Philana Chen, and I am the new health education coordinator for MACGN. I look forward to the adventures and discoveries of working with MACGN. This season, we focused on giving you information on breast cancer in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October).
