Stanley P. Watkins, Jr, MD
Dr. Watkins is a practicing oncologist in Annapolis, Maryland. He is currently the Director of the Oncology Initiative at Anne Arundel Medical Center that has developed a substantial prevention, screening, and research program in oncology.
Dr. Watkins and the staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center are committed to promoting prevention and screening programs that target high-risk populations. Dr. Watkins serves as the community physician liaison for the Mid-Atlantic Cancer Genetics Network.
The extensive network for promoting and performing mammograms and breast self-exams, genetic counseling and testing, prostate and colorectal screening programs, are programs that have been very successful at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr. Watkins believes that collaboration with MACGN will increase patient awareness, professional education, and data collection in the Anne Arundel area.
