Welcome to all new MACGN members. If you haven't already done so, please check out our web site at www.macgn.org. As for this issue of the Newsletter, we turn our focus to genetic counseling and testing. The issue of genetic discrimination and relevant legislation on privacy of medical information are presented. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month so please visit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition web site mentioned in the Review Corner. Also, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's not too soon to schedule that annual mammogram and clinical breast exam for yourself, your patient, or the woman in your life.
